Centennial swam Friday in the Regional Preliminaries, then finished Saturday in the finals (if they advanced).
Here are the results:
Friday: Boys 200 IM relay - finished in 13th place with time of 2:04.88; advanced to finals (Mitchell Bartko-back 31.03 Michael Fields-breast 36.73 Cole Lachman-fly 28.74 Zach Terrell-free 28.38) Saturday: finished in 13th place, but shaved off some time to get 2:03.63 - earned 8 points (Mitchell Bartko-back 31.15 Michael Fields-breast 36.04 Cole Lachman-fly 28.40 Zach Terrell-free 28.04)
Friday: Boys 200 free relay - finished in 12th place with time of 1:49.14; advanced to finals (Mitchell Bartko-26.64 Luke Tucker-27.93 Michael Fields-27.92 Cole Lachman - 26.65)
Saturday: finished in 15th place (Mitchell's goggles came off and he almost missed a turn) - earned 4 points (Mitchell Bartko-29.15 Luke Tucker-28.03 Michael Fields-27.48 Cole Lachman-26.27)
Friday: Girls 100 Breast - Haley Hamilton finished 18th place with time of 1:28.26; advanced as an alternate, but was not called up on Saturday.
Friday: Girls 400 free relay - 18th place with time of 5:25.52; did not advance to finals (K.A. Cleveland-1:28.67 Anisa Vidic-1:19.75 Lydia Perez-1:24.65 (lost her goggles) Haley Hamilton - 1:12.45)
Friday: Boys 400 free relay - finished 14th with a time of 4:00.49; advanced to finals (Zach Terrell - 1:01.62 David Cline-59.20 Mitchell Bartko-1:00.92 Cole Lachman-58.75.
Saturday: finished 13th, shaving off almost 1.5 seconds - earned 8 points (Zach Terrell - 1:00.73 David Cline-59.52 Mitchell Bartko-1:00.52 Cole Lachman - 58.24.
Men scored 20 points overall to finish in 16th place.

Haley Hamilton advanced to Regionals in breast stroke.
Girls' relay teams advanced in the 200 free and the 400 free.
Boys' relay teams advanced in the 200 medley, the 200 free, and the 400 free.
The 400 free was a 3rd place finish, which earned all the boys a medal.
The team was Zach Terrell (9th), Mitchell Bartko (10th), David Cline (11th), and Cole Lachman (11th).

BISD/CHS Swim Team 2011-2012 swim meet schedule
1. Cougar Sprint Invitational – September 24, Saturday, 8:30 am warm-ups LISD Aquatic Center, 5729 Memorial Drive, The Colony, TX 75056. Bus leaves BHS at 6:45 am. Meet behind the school at the athletic doors. There will not be a separate CHS pick-up.
2. L.D. Bell J.V. Invitational – October 7, Friday – 2:00 pm warm-ups H.E.B. ISD Natatorium, 500 N. Industrial Blvd., Euless, Texas. Athletes will leave school after 4th period for BHS. Bus will drive to CHS next, so CHS swimmers will need to be at bus doors by 12:45.
3. Arlington Invitational - October 15, 8:00 am warm-ups Mansfield Natatorium, 1001 N. Holland Rd., Mansfield, TX 76036. Bus leaves BHS at 6:45 am. Meet behind the school at the athletic doors. There will not be a separate CHS pick-up.
4. Richardson Halloween Relay - October 29, Saturday - 8:15 am warm-ups. Students can participate in a parade between the warm-ups and the meet start times in which teams display a “team theme” costume. Swimmers will get goodie bags and survivor ribbons – everything is a relay. J. J. Pearce Natatorium, 1600 N. Coit Rd., Richardson, TX 75080. Bus leaves BHS at 6:30 am. Meet behind the school at the athletic doors. There will not be a separate CHS pick-up.
5. Cleburne Dual meet – Burleson vs. Granbury – November 10, Thursday - 6:00 pm Splash Station, Cleburne – Which BISD team attending to be determined. 1010 Hillsboro Street, Cleburne, TX 76033. Burleson athletes will meet at the back of the school at 3:45; Centennial athletes will be at the bus doors at 4:00.

District Meet – all swimmers will compete at District. The top six swimmers in each event will advance to Regionals. We have seven schools in our District. Mansfield Natatorium - January 21 (date is tentative).
Regional Meet – all swimmers who qualified at the District meet will swim at Regionals. Preliminaries are on one day (probably a Friday); finals are the next (probably a Saturday). All swimmers are invited to come with the qualifying team members to support and cheer them on. Mansfield Natatorium – February 4 (date is tentative)
